I am looking for someone to play with in the Men’s Club what can I do?

The best way to contact people is using our group email address at ohmga@gaggle.email. The good news is we have had really good success with people connecting. Members will contact you directly. Let us know if you need additional information on what to do.

Do I need to wait to get a tee time before signing up for an event?

No, you can sign up for an event to ensure you are registered for the week. When you get a tee time you can go to Tournament, then League Talk and tell us the day you plan to play.

I don’t remember receiving a confirmation for my weekly event, how can I tell if I am registered for a tournament?

Go to the OHMGA website, oakhillsmga.golfgenius.com. Click on Tournaments then Pairings. Choose the tournament and you will see your name if registered. If not, sign up and you should receive a confirmation.

If I am playing with a few members and we all signed up individually, once we arrive is there an easy to keep each other's score on the app?

Yes, you can quickly update yourselves on the sign up sheet. You all need to be on the same line to keep each others scores. It is simple and straightforward.

I know I signed up for a tournament and I have no GGID, what's the problem?

The good news is there is not a problem. There is no more GGID because we made it easier and also cut down on the email traffic. You need to log in with your new id and password. If you don't remember you password, please let us know and we can reset it.

I received the new password and id to register my golf genius app, but don’t know what to do. Can you help?

Yes, find the email that we originally sent you and if you don’t have it, we will send it again. Typically, your id is your email and you'll be asked to input a temporary numeric password. Once you do that, the system will ask you for a permanent password. Input everything and you’re all set. The good news is the golf genius app retains the password and id, so you do have to re-enter it each time you input scores.

Do I input scores on the website, do I use the GHIN app? I’m confused as to what I should be using?

No worries, it is a good question. The Golf Genius app you downloaded on your phone is the only way to input scores for your OHMGA round. The OHMGA websiteoakhillsmga.golfgenius.com has tons of very helpful information and is the place where you register for weekly and major tournaments.

The GHIN system can be used to get information about your handicap and if you use the GHIN mobile app, you can input scores hole by hole for tournaments and other play for other courses. All three are related but have distinct and unique purposes. Once you enter your tournament round, you need to enter your score into GHIN.

I was looking at the weekly results and saw someone with a status - results not verified? What does that mean?

Well, we have a strict playing partner verification system as we have absolute flexibility when we play. If a score is missing verified, if the person is not on League Talk or if we can't find the score on GHIN, then it can’t be used for tournament purposes.  If there are issue, then we will elevate the next place person on the list. Although the round can’t be used for tourney play, one can still submit the score for GHIN handicap purposes.

Where do I go and find the weekly tournament results?

On the website, click Tournament, then click Weekly Tourney Results. You will see the results for every Tournament we have played to date. We will not post the current week’s result until; we receive verification from all winning parties.
