How Do We Attest Scores?

How do we attest a tournament for everyone playing the same event with one person inputting scores?

After you input your final score for the 18th hole, the individual keeping track of scores will see an option saying do you want to see a Scorecard Summary or Continuing Editing Scores. Please choose the Scorecard Summary and ensure that every score is correct on the electronic scorecard, just like you would do if it was paper. Change any error and once final and everyone verifies score, then hit Save and you're done!! Everyone has electronically confirmed scores.

Everyone played in a different tournament from me, and I needed to keep my own score on my phone. How do others attest my score?

Since your playing partners were with you for the entire round, they should have been seeing what you did during the day. It is your responsibility to share your scores on your phone with your playing partners and have them review your results before you save your scorecard. You will also do the same if you are the only one playing in a tournament and a member plays with you to attest your score.

Is there an attest button that I need to push to attest all scores?

No, there is no special button. The attesting process is digital based on you saving and submitting scores at the end of the round. All your playing partners should review your scores on your phones BEFORE you leave the golf course. Golf Genius allows you to review a scorecard summary after you input all 18th holes. Do NOT submit scores until your playing partners confirmed your scores at the conclusion of your tournament. Once you hit save, we consider the scores attested by the group.

I am the only member playing in a tournament in my group but I'm with a member. How do I attest my score?

Please see the answer above because that scenario applies here.

How do we know if someone is truthful if we don't have an official signature on a piece of paper?

It is the responsibility of other members playing in a tournament to protect the field. We will audit results and we will check tee sheets to ensure a member is playing with another member. The tee sheet does not lie so this is our audit verification used by leagues that electronically track scores.

Yes, we attested scores, but I realized when reviewing my scorecard that my result was wrong. How do I get that attested?

If you find that score was incorrect, then you can go back in your scorecard to correct your score and save the results. You will get an email of your scorecard and it is your responsibility to email it to your playing partners for verification. Once they approve your score, it is your responsibility to send a copy of the corrected scorecard to oakhillsmens@gmail.com. You must copy your playing partners on the email that you forward to the OHMGA with a note that your scorecard was updated, and your playing partners agreed to the change, noting that they all cc'd on the email for verification.

I forgot to get my score attested before I left the golf course what do I do?

This should happen infrequently but may occur from time-to-time. You must email your playing partner(s), the person who was the member and have them review your emailed scorecard. Your playing partners can simply send you an email saying they agree with your scores. When you receive verification, you must send an email with scorecard to OHMGA at oakhillsmens@gmail.com with a note saying your playing partners verified the results and include them in your cc for verification.

I did not input my scores during the round but did so immediately after the round was over. How do I get my group to attest my score?

It is your responsibility to have your round attested before you leave the golf course. This is no different than if we were using paper. There is zero issue with you putting in your scores after the round, however you need to ensure that your playing players review and attest your scores, before leaving the golf course and before you submit final scores.  Before you leave the golf course have them review your scorecard summary and agree with your score before final submission.
